Shaan Belchada is a thirteen-year-old singer-songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Bengaluru, India. He sat down at a drum kit at the age of three and never really stood up — that first rhythmic obsession has since grown into command of more than twenty instruments, most of them self-taught through pure curiosity. His music lands where alternative rock's raw nerve meets the harmonic depth of jazz and the precision of progressive metal.
Formally trained in Western classical piano and drums, with roots in Hindustani classical music, Shaan taught himself the rest by ear and instinct. He completed the highest conservatoire performance grade with top honours and is a national solo-instrumentalist champion.
His debut album Echoes of the Undiscovered Earth and solo-piano EP The Harrowing introduced an instrumental voice already fully formed. His next record, Words on a Paper, is the turn inward — every lyric, melody and part written, performed and produced by Shaan alone. One artist. One vision. No compromises.
